Asslam-o-Alekum

On behalf of the Board of Governors, IMS I wish to express my deep gratitude to the Chief Guest, Lt. General Khalid Maqbool, Governor of the Punjab for presiding over and gracing this occasion. I am extremely grateful to him for his appreciation of IMS for its contributions. He has always shown a great love for education. We feel much inspired, highly encouraged and immensely motivated for further improvement of the quality of educational performance at the IMS. I am sure his words of advice to our graduates will always be remembered.

We are indebted to the Chairman, Dr. Khalid Ranjha and members Board of Governors for their valuable guidance in developing the Institute of Management Sciences.

It is with deep pleasure that I congratulate the new graduates. As already advised by Lt. General Khalid Maqbool, Governor of the Punjab, the Chairman and the Dean I have to add that they have to face great challenges in life for the development of this country. The Institute of Management Sciences has given them knowledge, and they have to use it to cope with these problems with courage and confidence.

The Board has always been conscious of its obligations with regard to the quality of education at the institute. It is a matter of contentment for us that the faculty is maintaining a high standard of education. The Dean's report is a clear reflection of this seriousness. The faculty's interest in seminars and research is the characteristic of quality institutions. Extra curricular activities are also held. The institution is properly responding to due emphasis on the Information Technology for the purpose of producing human resource. Our graduates, as we learn from their employers, are doing very well in their professions. A number of them are highly placed.

As a result of its effort, the institute has been given Charter by Government of the Punjab. Let me join the Chairman, the Board Members, Dean, Faculty, Staff and Students to express our gratitude to Lt. Gen. Khalid Maqbool, Governor of the Punjab for his kind concern and encouragement.

The Convocation has been organized in an excellent manner. I wish to thank all organizers - who were involved in this activity.

Once again, I thank the Chief guest, guests and the graduating students for attending this occasion.
